HI! My name Eunice Hernandez, and I am looking forward in connecting with you! Let me tell you a little something about myself, I have bachelors in Psychology from North Park University and a Masters in Social Work from Dominican University. Recently I received a Master’s in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. I say this with pride as a first-generation university student, overcoming many adverse childhood experiences. My background encompasses my passion of empowering others.
For the past fifteen years I have been working in the field of education. Thirteen years as a school social worker and currently as junior high school dean. I have a wide range experience in counseling children and adolescences. Specializing in the areas of autism, behavior disorders, self-esteem issues, suicide, self-harm, depression, anxiety, anger, compulsive behaviors, attention deficit disorders, eating disorders and every day to day hard to manage life stressors. I have also counseled young adults navigating different life journeys both personal and professionally. As well as working with all types of families in the areas of communication, parenting, acculturation impact, past trauma or life altering events. Life can throw unexpected curve balls that can be difficult to overcome causing many unwanted, emotional and mental symptoms impacting your day to day functioning.
My approach is to understand you, be kind, empathetic and supportive to meet your needs utilizing different therapeutic approaches, including Christian counseling if preferred. My desire is for you to be able to reach your full potential, see your worth and strength and manage your overall emotions to enjoy this journey we call life.
